Johnson Yachts International Limited over the years has predominately built high quality one off custom sail and motorboats for both local and overseas clients. Its sister company Johnson Marine Boatbuilding Limited is very passionate about traditionally crafted classic boats and has spent many years focused on servicing the requirements of owners with repairs, maintenance and alterations on such classic vessels. Johnson Yachts International Limited are proud to have built two Benford Design Group designs a 45ft Double ended Gaff Rigged Steel offshore Sail Boat and also the recently launched 55ft Florida Bay Coaster Motor Yacht and are due to launch a third completed vessel in August 2008.

We have also had a close working relationship over the years with New Zealand Renown boat builder and designer, Max Carter and have completed the “Excitor II” Tourist attraction boat currently operating a thrill seeking fast boating experience to the “Hole in the Rock at The Bay of Islands, one of New Zealand's most idyllic coastal spots. Our company also constructed the 65ft Canal barge "Whio" which was shipped from our Pine Harbour Boatbuilding facility to Europe where the family were re-united with the vessel at Brugge to being their inland waterway explorations.

More recently Johnson Yachts International commissioned Max Carter to design a 52ft Saloon version of his current successful flybridge motor yacht. The vessel is powered by Volvo's latest concept in power boat propulsion, Twin Volvo IPS 500 diesel drive units which feature twin forward facing propellors in rotating pods which incorporate underwater exhausts and electronic steering as standard. These features mean better fuel economy and more boat maneuverability. It has a top speed of 29 knots.
