Max Carter Design 16mtr Twin Screw Fast Cruising Launch

Reknown New Zealand Boatbuilder and Designer Max Carter designed this vessel for Johnson Yachts International to be built from our yard on a semi production basis. This saloon version of Carter's current successful Flybridge Motor Yachts is to be powered by Volvo's latest concept in power boat propulsion, Twin Volvo IPS 500 diesel drive units which feature twin forward facing propellors and incorporating underwater exhausts and electronic steering as standard. These features mean better fuel economy and more boat maneuverability. It will have a top speed of 29 knots.

The vessel is constructed using Wayang brand High Strength marine plywood and treated New Zealand timber with a heavy glass fibre sheathing complete with a walk through transom and spacious teak cockpit sole. The boarding platform is inboard with extra width for swimming and diving.

The interior layout includes a large owners stateroom forward with ensuite. It also features twin guest cabins whose bathroom facility is an identical layout to the owners. The saloon has the helm forward with mid-galley and ample seating for social occasions. The interior is furnished with the highest quality fabrics, fittings and decor with Curly Maple as the timber trim.

This vessel is suited for fast weekend getaways from the convenience of your inland waterway jetty or local marina.
